I love them both, they are very different, but I think they are both great. I love the flashy acid tripiness of A2A because I think it works for the 80's London feel. (I lived in London in the 80's for a bit so it's also sentimental for me).
Here's what I love about Alex. In 2008, she has to be very masculine, tough and non emotional, as does every woman working in a traditionally man's field. But when she wakes up in the 80's she is crazy feminine, slutty, and a raging emotion. It was such a joy to watch her get to be volatile and emotional and not care because she thinks everyone else isn't real. It did get a bit annoying with all the "imaginary constructs" stuff, but overall, I liked the heightened emotion of her because women never get to act like that and if we do, we're crazy bitches. But I also loved the second series and enjoyed the change in her relationship to Gene, having it be all about trust and working together. I think she is a great foil for him as if she picked up where Sam left off for Gene. As for the romance aspect, Gene could shag either of them...or anyone for that matter and I'd be all for it, as long as Gene is in there somewhere! I must be a Gene/Phil fangirl!

Thanks and keep making vids, I'm enjoying them!
